Through extensive training, certification & dedication, our staff enjoys sharing their knowledge of child development, passion for fitness and love of children in our classes and programs. Here are the Rolly Pollies of Summerville’s “Roll Models”, or as we like to call them, our Rolly Pollies family:
Owner / Director
I’m a graduate of Barat College, DePaul University with a BFA degree in dance, choreography and minor in kinesiology. I loved performing and dancing professionally but have also always been passionate about teaching. Dancing professionally requires a lot of discipline so I wanted to make learning fun. Not all children aspire to be professional, but I felt strongly (and still do) that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality instruction to make learning something fun. So, when my family moved from Chicago to South Carolina (yes, a culture shock at first!) and I learned of Rolly Pollies, it seemed a perfect fit! I began working and teaching in 2008 and would never have dreamed then that I would be the proud new owner just 4 years later! As a wife and mom of three boys, owning Rolly Pollies has provided me the opportunity to teach again, be involved in the community, and raise my family in a unique and special environment. I love knowing I’m able to give something back to the community whether it’s by hiring local, giving tired moms and dads a break with a Parent’s Night Out or providing quality gymnastics or preschool education to their children. The families that call Rolly Pollies their home away from home are what make this all worthwhile.
Office Manager & Instructor
I’ve been a Rolly Pollies team member since 2014 and I LOVE it! I have an Associates degree in health science, live in Summerville and enjoy spending time with my two little nephews. I especially love teaching classes at Rolly Pollies and helping the kids learn new skills. As the office manager, I get to see all the families I’ve come to know over the years and welcome our first-time families, helping them to feel at home.
Weekend Manager & Camp Instructor
I am currently in my second year at Trident Technical College earning my degree in early intervention. I’ve been a Rolly Pollies team member for over two years and absolutely love it! What I love most about being here is seeing kids develop not just their physical strengths but their social skills, personalities and confidence. Some kids start out shy but soon blossom and gain so many new friends!
I’m a level 6 gymnast with 5 years of competitive gymnastics experience, two National title placements and previous experience coaching at the same gym whee I trained. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and plans to continue my studies in occupational therapy. I love encouraging students of all levels and abilities to be their best. Rolly Pollies is a great fit for me!
Gym & Ninja Instructor
I hold a degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Science. I’m passionate about living life to the fullest and instilling confidence and a can-do attitude while coaching our young Ninja students! I’m a Retired military veteran and a brain tumor survivor. Working at Rolly Pollies inspires me every day!
Lead Preschool Teacher
My Name is Jessica and I live in North Charleston with my husband, two boys, and our puppy, Ollie. I love teaching preschool at Rolly Pollies! My favorite way to teach is through active play because I believe we all learn best by doing! Watching the kids absorb and then use what they’ve learned is my biggest reward. I also love our gym time together bouncing on the trampoline!
Preschool Teacher Assistant
I am a proud wife, military spouse, and mother of two amazing daughters and one very cute dog! We last lived in New York and still visit as often as we can. Helping teach preschool is my absolute favorite thing to do! When I’m not teaching, I also enjoy reading, drinking coffee and running! I’m kind of a big kid at heart and enjoy playing on any type of swing or slide and coloring with the kids!
My name is Jack. I am a Junior at Summerville High school. I enjoy working and playing with the kids at Rolly Pollies. I’m a big kid myself, so joining in the fun with them is second nature to me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. When I’m not working, I’m running cross country and track for my high school and performing in our school plays.
Party Host & Camp Instructor
I’m a busy senior at Summerville High School, a member of the student council, Spanish honor society, and NJROTC program. In my free time, I like spending time at the gym and hanging out with friends. This is my first year at Rolly Pollies. The best thing about being a part of this great team is getting to play and help kids learn new skills in the gym! Children help me see things from a whole new, creative perspective.
Birthday Party Host
I am junior at Ashley Ridge H.S. and one of three brothers, all of whom have worked at Rolly Pollies! I’m a member of the AR cross country and track team and recently ran my third half-marathon! Aside from my love of running, I’m into computers and spending time with family and friends. Playing tag, having foam pit wars and hearing kids laugh when I toss them in the pit are my favorite parts of working at Rolly Pollies.
Hi! I’m Emily, a student at Fort Dorchester H.S. and am super excited to be starting my first year at Rolly Pollies. I love photography and aspire to be a pharmacist one day. The kids at Rolly Pollies keep me smiling. Their smiles, laughter, and energy are contagious and make working so much fun!
Party Host & Camp Instructor
A senior at Ashley Ridge H.S. and member of Model UN, Spanish and English honor society and Rho Kappa social studies society, I one day hope to travel the world and work in finance. Working at Rolly Pollies gives me a nice break from all my studies and I love seeing how excited the kids are to come and play and celebrate birthdays! I also love biking and baking with my family.
Our newest member of Rolly Pollies! I’m a junior at Ashley Ridge H.S. and member of their cross-country team. I love running and playing video games with friends as well as spending time with my family. My experience as a camp counselor has helped me a lot. You will usually find me running about the gym or in the foam pit with the kids for sure!
I am a cheerleader at Fort Dorchester H.S. and enjoy cheer and competitions with my team. But when I’m at Rolly Pollies I love being a part of this great team! It’s fast-paced and fun and fun making the kids laugh and smile!
